Admissions Process

California Preparatory College attempts to select students who will thrive in the uniquely supportive CPC learning environment. We consider students' potential as well as their previous educational history.

At CPC we insist that every student have a successful transition process when entering and exiting our educational programs. We measure our success by what you accomplish.

Every CPC applicant must complete and document at least one of the following requirements to be considered for acceptance:

  • Have received a high school diploma from an accredited secondary school
  • Have passed the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE)
  • Have passed the General Education Development Exam (GED)
  • Proof of completion of high school at a home school or individual study program
  • Be 18 years or older and able to complete or pass one of the previously listed requirements within the first semester of enrollment into CPC
  • Be enrolled in the English as a Second Language program
  • Have earned twelve or more transferable (non-remedial) units of college credit

Once the documentation requirements are met by the applicant, acceptance to CPC is determined via a scheduled personal interview administered by one of our Life Counselors.
